Shopping
For groceries shopping the seven eleven supermarket is located just behind the accommodation. For larger shopping needs you might want to go to the Al Hamra Mall. This mall is located on the route between the accommodation and the hotels. You can request the driver of the bus to stop at Al Hamra Mall. You might want to purchase a local SIM card for a local phone number. This is possible at the seven eleven and at the Al Hamra Mall. Please note that you need to bring a passport and Visa to apply for a simcard.
Transportation
To make sure you will be able to come to work a shuttle bus will drive you from the accommodation to the Hilton Al Hamra and continues to Waldorf Astoria. Please find the bus schedule displayed in the lobby of the A5 building. In case you would like to visit Al Hamra Mall, please ask the driver kindly to drop you at Al Hamra Mall. In case you would like to go somewhere else, or need more flexibility, taxies will be available by calling 8001700 (Arabian Taxi).

Grooming Standards
We all have an impact on the delivery of luxury to our guests at Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah, and it all starts with our grooming, presentation and personal hygiene.
Below are guidelines that will help you to understand how you can look your best at work and leave a positive and proud impression on our guests and your fellow team members. This will help you to be happy and confident in your role and when interacting with others. If you have any concerns regarding grooming or if you need any advice, please speak with your Supervisor or the HR or L&D Department.
The following minimum requirements must be observed:
UNIFORMS/DRESS
• All team members are required to be neat and tidy in appearance and when in contact with guests be smart and well groomed.
• Team members are required to use the uniform supplied. The uniform should be in a clean and pressed condition.
• Where uniforms are not provided, normal business attire should be worn – normal business attire is a shirt, tie, trousers and a jacket for men and a blouse, skirt or trousers and jacket for women.
SHOES
• For men, either plain black lace style or plain black slip on style shoes. • For ladies, either plain black court shoes with a low heel.
