Another thought struck me this week. As you know I take seriously the counsel given to this
church in regard to politics. And yet it seems like many in our beloved Church really get

involved one way or another. From my observations it appears that many tend to be
Republicans. I can understand that in the sense that they claim to be more conservative. But

one issue they are strong on is people having the right to guns of any kind, that second
amendment thing, you know. Many SDAs have strong feelings for this too. The thought that
struck me was that when the end comes and some people lose their lives; for not all will be

spared death, with the very guns they’ve supported. If I lose my life with one of those guns, so
be it, but I wouldn’t want it be one that I politically supported. Anyway that was just an extra

freebie for the week.
