he demand for and value of IT business
data, information, insight, and efective guidance, is greater than ever. And yet,
we see and hear almost daily of the demise of the
research analyst, the declining value of industry
research, and the increasing irrelevance of analyst
irms.
To my view, this is, frankly, ignorant.
he IT analyst industry began 30-plus years

Wall Street investors, enterprise IT and Finance
groups, and even IT providers to understand.

The 5 Pitfalls of
Using a Laptop for
Conference Room
Collaboration
C
OUZENS
by Frazer Couzens, Director of
SMART Room Systems (www. smarttech.com)
For much of what we do in our day jobs, we rely on our laptops. Despite the advancements made
in tablet computing, the truth is we still need
a real keyboard and mouse to really get work
done. A tool, not a toy. So it’s only natural that
when we go to a meeting, we bring our trusted
companions with us to the conference room and
join the meeting using a familiar and reliable
tool.
