development of glaucoma, which is caused by a thick lens pushing on
the exit channels of the eye. Prelex will not prevent development of
macular degeneration nor retinal detachment.
Will my prescription still change?
The prescription often fluctuates as the lens absorbs water and
undergoes degenerative processes. This is more common after 45.
Therefore every year vision deteriorates. After Prelex, vision is stable
because Pi does not absorb water nor does it change in size.
Am I too old to have Pi in eye?
One is never too old to fall in love or have pi in the eye. Age is
but a number. People as old as ninety have loved the improved vision
with Pi. Their testimonies are poignant human interest stories. They
were grateful for the benefit of being able to renew their driving
license. One, who was hunched from back problems, had had
difficulty in seeing with glasses as his eyes faced down and he had to
look obliquely causing aberrations. Pi in eye gave him freedom to live
alone and defer assisted living.
What if I have Parkinson’s or other movement disorders?
Trembling hands and movement disorders make it difficult to
wear contacts or even glasses. Pi in the eye helps people with
Parkinsonism, with head throbbing movements or even shaky eyes.
Is Alzheimer’s a problem with Pi?
People who have memory problems can forget where they put
their glasses or that they even wear glasses. Pi in eye is especially
helpful for them.
Who should not have Pi or Prelex?
Patients suffering from advanced diabetic retinopathy, wet
macular degeneration, end stages of glaucoma or optic nerve damage
are not suitable for this procedure.
