                                dilation to overcome light sensitivity.

                                   Ophthalmoscopic Examination:
                                   The ophthalmoscope is a device in which the doctor can inspect
                                any blood vessels or optic nerves at the back of the eye. Usually the
                                eyes have to be dilated for this exam. Blood pressure, diabetes, and
                                some   other   diseases   can   be   detected   from   this   exam.   Direct
                                monocular, indirect binocular and slit lamp fundoscopy are various
                                methods which can give the best information.

                                   Slit- Lamp:
                                   The slit lamp allows the doctor to see any diseases or infections in
                                the front of the eye, eyelids, cornea or iris.
                                   Presence of any cataracts can be detected. The doctor can also see
                                the back of the eye, determining any problems with the retina or any
                                signs of macular degeneration.
