Leveraging Up!

need more than just a phone call or text to conduct business. For
example, you may need to host a meeting with several members of

your team, or you may need to coordinate a video conference with

your Executive and other C-suite members from various remote
locations. Let’s look at some online tools you can use to keep these

communication lines open from anywhere using either a computer or
mobile device. (Not a comprehensive list.)

            ▪ Zoom—This app is rapidly becoming one of the most popular

video conferencing apps because it is so easy to use. People
can join you in a video conference simply by clicking a link.

               Talk one-on-one or in groups.

            ▪ Slack—A great platform for teams and collaborations,

integrating chat, file sharing and phone/video chat in one

               location.

            ▪ Cisco WebEx—Another excellent video collaboration tool

designed around a virtual “whiteboard” where call participants
can contribute ideas in real-time. (Think of it as a conference

room with a whiteboard, except online.)

            ▪ FaceTime—If you and your boss both use Apple devices,

FaceTime is a fast and easy way to video chat quickly one-

               on-one.

            ▪ WhatsApp—A great lightweight tool for communicating

internationally via text, phone or video chat.
