Vehicle Harness
Medifab has had many years of experience with providing solutions
for passengers who require support or management during travel.
Passengers with disabilities require additional control to keep them
upright and safe, and other individuals with challenging behaviour
require a type of control that will prevent them from escaping from
the vehicle seat and causing danger.
Frequently asked questions when prescribing vehicle harnesses:
• Question: Are these harnesses safety approved?
No. There is no certification. These harnesses are a ‘positioning’ device only, not a safety device.
• Question: Do I require a tether point attachment?
No. The harnesses are simply strapped to the existing vehicle seat.
• Question: Can I use the harness on an aeroplane?
Yes, however you must get written permission from the airline prior to departure.
• Question: What do I do if there is no access behind the seat for the attaching straps, i.e. in the back seat of a
sedan vehicle?

H arness
Cut some small slots in the rear carpet flap so the attaching straps can be threaded through.
