It had to happen eventually. Children grow up and leave home to start their independent lives. And so it was
with Diane. She had finished high school and was accepted into the University of New England up in the high-
lands of Armidale. This started a fairly regular trip between Sydney and Armidale that continued for mum
and dad for many many years.
At this point we still had the old combi van.
