Poor workmanship

It is often lamented that “they don’t make things like they used to”. Such was the case when mum decided to do a bit of
         unintentional renovating.

We spent quite a few years growing up in a small Housing commission asbestos cottage. Even though Dad extended the
house to accommodate the growing multitude under the roof, it was inevitable that disagreements arose. OK conflict. All
right already - all out warfare.

We all dearly love each other and support each other through thick and thin but there were times when enough was
enough and the happy climate was shattered by the fights between us. And yes they did sometimes end in bloodshed.
Mum did her best to control the chaos and clearly she did something right because we all survived and prospered with mini-
mal scaring both mental and physical.
