Parents will be responsible for providing transporta on to and from their child’s bus stop. Regional busing will not accommodate extra- curricular ac vi es, so parents also will need to plan for those circumstances.
To make all of this possible, the district provided approximately $3.7 million to buy buses with each cos ng approximately $112,000. The total annual (180 school days) opera onal cost for a bus, including driver pay, is about $52,000.

free commercial driver’s license (CDL) training and implemen ng other recruitment e orts. According to Arby Creach, director of transporta on services, the CDL training is worth $3,000-5,000 outside of the school system.
“We a end each and every job fair and we
pay recruitment bonuses to our drivers for recommending a friend or family member that
is trained and stays the required period of me,” Creach said. “We provide free CDL training and tes ng services to quali ed applicants and pay for required CDL medical exams, nger prin ng services and drug tes ng for each quali ed applicant.”
