Perhaps the stage needs to be enlarged;
perhaps there needs to be new and
enlarged dressing rooms; sometimes
communities need flat floor meeting and
banquet space; other communities want a
small (99 seat) theatre as well as your larger
restoration. Sometimes a variety of arts
organizations will want to come together
to share office space and services – a
most effective way to save daily operating
money and often of great appeal to donors.
Perhaps the City or County need additional
office space and they might be willing to
assist you with bonding the project in a
public-private partnership that would reduce
the capital demands on your organization
(though that will require a great deal of
collaboration and compromise during the
design process).
Sometimes there is already an existing
organization in the community (let’s call it
“the foundation”) that is raising money for
the new or restored building. It is easy for the
group that will eventually manage the facility
