Self-Written Hippocratic Oath
As I stand as a proud member of the medical profession in front of my family, friends, and colleagues, I declare that I will
Uphold the professional and social responsibilities placed on to by my degree and academic training Go beyond what is asked of me to help those who ask for guidance whether medical in nature or not Alleviate suffering in all forms
Treat all cultures, races, ethnicities, and genders equally and justly.
Never deny care to those who need it
Follow through on all my duties as a leader and medical professional
Educate my peers so that they can spread the education to those arounds them
Treasure and respect the relationship between physicians and patients
Collaborate on treatment plans that benefit all parties involved
Contribute to the betterment of society as whole with regards to health and medical education.
I also make an oath to myself that I,
Will not be tempted by the many forms of greed
Will never sacrifice my integrity so that I may benefit while others suffer the consequences
Will never fail to take care of my health and enjoy my profession
Will never ignore the complaints of patients due to arrogance and academic training Learn to love others as if they were my own family and blood
To this oath I wholeheartedly and freely swear.
