As a member of the medical and public health profession:
I solemnly pledge to share my HEART and strengths with the communities I serve.
The physical, mental, and social health of all my patients and their communities will be my upmost priority.
I will respect and value patient autonomy and ensure all my patients a WELCOMING and INCLUSIVE environment when providing care and treatment.
I will serve ALL regardless of their age, disease, disability, ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, nationality, and any other social factors. I will ensure the highest
level of CULTURAL HUMILITY to all my patients.
I promise to deliver the highest quality of care to all patients. All individuals have a HUMAN RIGHT to physical and mental health care and treatment.
I will respect and not share any information my patients have trusted me with and assure them that I will act as an ADVOCATE for them.
I will practice public health medicine aligned with the profession and help address community health disparities through community empowerment and patient-centered care.
I will collaborate with colleagues and community members to provide effective community health solutions that better our patients’ health outcomes and forthcoming generations.
I will share my medical and public health knowledge to improve health at the community and individual level.
I will be MINDFUL of my own physical, social, and emotional health to ensure the highest quality of care for all my patients.
I will be a VOICE for all vulnerable populations, promote health EQUITY through SOCIAL JUSTICE, and ensure stigma is addressed in our communities.
I make all these promises to the communities I will SERVE; the communities that I will be PART OF.
