(1) The District’s enrollment was affected by the opening in 2010 of the Southland College Prep Charter High School. The
Charter School has reached its 500 student capacity, but has petitioned to increase the maximum amount to 550. The recent
decline in enrollment is due the aging population and lower population turnover leading to a decline in the number of
students enrolled in the feeder school districts.
