Amazingly, other medicinal plants have also been found to successfully treat Dalton’s Lymphoma.

The Centella asiatica plant, Asiatic Pennyworth in English, is a shrub found in places such as India, Australia,

and the Pacific Islands. The whole plant can be used, but mostly the leaves are beneficial as medicine. The

Asiatic Pennyworth proved to be beneficial for Dalton’s Lymphoma as it stopped the development of solid

tumors in patients. The compounds within the plant that are responsible for this treatment are asiaticoside,

hydrocotyline, vallerine, pectic acid, sterol, stigmasterol, flavonoids, thankunosides and ascorbic acid. 8

Perhaps one of the most convincing cases for medicinal plants for the treatment of Lymphomas a

mixture of the Pacific yew (Taxusbrevifofia) as well as the Pokeroot (Phytolacea deeandra). These plants,

when combined together, have anticancer and anti-inflammatory agents as well as immune stimulants. In a

study conducted by A Clinician’s Journal in 2012, a patient with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia took five

600 mg capsules of ground leaves twice daily as well as a mixture of one part fresh root tincture and two parts

water, taken twice daily in dosages of two tablespoons. The patient’s progress was studied for three years,

with in person meetings every one to three months for the first year of treatment. After 3 years of treatment

with this plant mixture, the patient was found to have their white blood cell count increase from their original

        count from 3.3 x109 cells/L to 8.5.7 x109 cells/L. In addition, the patient’s absolute neutrophil count from 0.5

        x109 cells/L to 1.15. x109 cells/L and their atypical lymphocytes went from an initial 8% to 0%. 3

Even for cancers in general, there are plants that

could possibly be used more universally in any patient facing

a cancer diagnosis. For example, Ziziphus nummularia,

commonly known as Wild jujube in English, has been found

to be effective when other treatments were not successful.
