Constitution and Bylaws

ARTICLE V - Membership

Section 1. Regular Membership

A. Any person whose total responsibilities include management
of the physical plant operation, maintenance operation, and all
property operations concerning the mechanical and structural
aspects of any building shall be eligible for Regular Membership.

B. Any person who is an Assistant to the aforementioned individual
shall also be eligible for membership.

C. Payment of annual dues must be received prior to becoming
a Regular Member. The dollar amount of membership dues
is determined based on the number of designated SAABE
representatives from the property, building, or management
company.

D. Transfer of membership shall not be made upon change of
member representative’s place of employment unless the individual
has paid his or her membership fee without assistance from his or
her employer.

E. Regular Members shall have all membership privileges including
full voting rights and may serve on the Board of Directors in the
positions of President, First Vice President, Second Vice President,
Treasurer, Secretary, Education Director and Membership Director.
Section 2. Associate Membership

A. Any company which desires membership in SAABE, because said
company provides products and services for the commercial building
industry shall be eligible to apply for Associate Membership.

B. Payment of annual dues must be received prior to becoming
an Associate Member. The dollar amount of membership dues
is determined based on the number of designated SAABE
representatives from the company.

C. Transfer of membership shall not be made upon change of
member representative’s place of employment unless the individual
has paid his or her membership fee without assistance from his or
her employer.
