6. How does society still continue to use negativity to keep people down? Why do people feel the need
to point out those who have less or who are different?
I think people who use negativity to keep people down because those people don’t trust in themselves, they
have self-esteem problems and they want to feel superior to other people.
7. Describe a time when you have been made to feel insignificant? How does that experience help you
to feel empathy toward Gregory?
I felt insignificant when my mother and my father compare me with other people. They sometimes say that
I am not good doing some things and they would like to have another daughter.
8. In what ways could Dick Gregory be considered an outlier?
In my opinion, Dick Gregory has a special way to write his essay that attracts people’s attention, so the
content of this essay is striking. However, the development that the essay has is not unique because many
people suffer the same or worst situation than its little story.
