THISYEAR:
FirstStretCenter–Outpatientpridesitselfonsucesesatainedbyourclientsinachievingandmaintainingtheir abstinencefrom Alcoholorotherdrugsandstabilizingtheirmentalhealthisues.77% ofSUD clientsserved, sucesfulycompletedtreatmentorleftbeforecompletionwithsatisfactoryprogres. osewhocompleted treatmentcompletedanaverageof87% oftreatmentplangoals.Forthoseclientsreceivingmentalhealthtreatment, 98% experiencenoepisodesofpsychiatrichospitalizationsorincarcerationsduringthislast􏰀scalyear.
SUCCESSSTORY:
DuringtherecentandongoingCOVID-19Pandemic,wehavehadtomakesigni􏰀cantchangestoadapttothe “NewNormal”.Oneofthe􏰀rstchangeswemadeweretocancelalgrouptherapysesionsandmostin-person, individualcounselingsesions. isalowedustoprotectclientsandstafffrom potentialexposuretothevirus. WethenbegantoprovideSUD andMentalHealthservicesforbothasesmentandindividualcounselingsesions viatelephoneandtelehealth,toinsureacontinuityofcareforourclientsduringthesetroublingtimes.We instaledaPlexiglasdivideratthereceptionarea,implementedascreningquestionnaireforanyoneenteringthe
avepostedsignagetopracticeandcontrolsocialdistancing.Staffandclientsarerequiredtowear maskswhileinthebuildingweformulatedpoliciesandproceduresthatincludecleaningandsanitizingpersonal
andcommonareasthatareperformedseveraltimesperday.
