THISYEAR:
TurningPointiscontractedtoserve28menandwomenonprobationdaily.Serviceswereprovidedfor98 probationersforatotalof8,996bednights,withanaveragestayof120nights.54% completedtheprogram
withpermanenthousing,92% remaineddrugfre,and53% securedemployment(manywereunemployable).  oseemployedsavedanaverageof$2,300afterpaying􏰀nes,backchildsupportandremedyingother􏰀nancial obligations. eprogram wasaveraging842bednightspermonthuntilMarch2020atwhichtimereferals
werereducedduetothelackofscreningofficers. efacilityiscurentlyrunningat50% capacity.Covid-19
veimpactonprogram referals,jobplacement,permanenthousingavailability,etc.
SUCCESSSTORY:
ClientJSenteredtheprogram inearlyJulyof2019.Hetransferedfrom thebayareatoMontereyCounty knowingtheonlychancehehadtoremovehimselffrom drugsandviolencewastoleavehisenvironmentof criminalactivity.Whenaskedwhathismotivationwastochange,herepliedhisgirlfriendwaspregnantandhehad to“growup”andbeafathertohischild.JShadbeninandoutofincarcerationsincehistens,wasahighschool
drop-out,neverworked,wasdrivingonasuspendedCDLandwasonlyafewweksoutofdetox.Hestrugled tremendouslyearlyinhisresidencybutgradualygrewmorecon􏰀dentwith24/7staffsupport,structureand
