LEITRIM BRANCH – SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE AND THANKSGIVING

The Leitrim Branch held its first Service
of Remembrance and Thanksgiving in
the Bush Hotel, Carrick-on-Shannon,
on Sunday November 13th. Annetha
Loughran, Chairperson, welcomed the
clergy and a large number of
members, including donor families
and transplant recipients, to the
Service.
Music was provided by the ‘Sweet
Spirit’ Gospel Choir accompanied by
Trish Dunleavy. Readings and Prayers
of Thanksgiving were read by branch
members and all present were invited
to place their lighted candles on the
table at the top of the room. The
‘Book of Remembrance’ with the
names of organ donors inscribed was
on display for viewing by donor
families.
Light refreshments were served
afterwards.
We are grateful to all participants
and look forward to this Service being
an annual event in Leitrim.
