Create a Safe Community

Sonoma County road maintenance crews are already mowing roadsides to decrease fire hazards as we head into summer. Hot days have begun and firefighters are predicting a long, difficult fire season. Being prepared is not an option.
It’s time for what we call “vegetation management.” Removing dead and dying limbs and trees, clearing ladder fuels that spread fire from low-lying undergrowth into treetops and beyond.
As private property owners, our most important tasks are to take care of what’s around our homes and neighborhoods so we can protect our families, possessions and the community we share.

Each neighbor has a responsibility for the welfare of the house next door as well as their own. Any fire that starts at your house is going to jump house to house, and tree to tree, faster than you imagine.
Getting together with your neighbors to create a Disaster Preparedness Plan and to talk about defensible fire zones is a great way to plan as a community so that everyone survives a disaster. Whether it’s fire, earthquake or flood, you are ready.
Call Fine Tree Care to assess your property and surrounding area for fire hazards...especially this year. Prevention goes a long way toward feeling safe in a potentially high fire-risk summer ahead.
