She attended Morehead State College and was a teacher
for a few years. She was the oldest member of Paint Primitive
Baptist Church. She was a life member of the Disabled American
Veterans Auxiliary.
Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 PM Monday, Feb-
ruary 25, 2019, at Miller Funeral Home, Ashland, KY. Burial will
follow in Highland Memorial Cemetery, Paintsville, KY.
Sister Etta Mae Rigsby
Sister Etta Mae Peters Rigsby
age 83 of Isonville, Kentucky went
home to be with the Lord January 03,
2019 at Kings Daughters Medical Cen-
ter in Ashland, Kentucky.
Mrs. Rigsby was born August
20, 1936 in Elliott County, Kentucky a
daughter of the late Paul J. and Elda
Hay Peters.
Etta was a Christian and a mem-
ber of the Old Paint Primitive Baptist Church.
She had worked as a school teacher, Post Master, and gro-
cery store owner. She loved spending time with her children and
grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her
husband Lowell J. Rigsby, One sister; Dixie Imogene Oliver.
She is survived by her loving sons and daughter in-law;
Ron and Meschell Rigsby of Lyles, Tennessee, and Don Rigsby of
Isonville, Kentucky. One brother and sister in-law; David and Ruth
Peters of Sandy Hook, Kentucky. Three sisters and brother in-law;
Barbara and Lawrence Adkins of Isonville, Kentucky, Janet Stin-
son of Isonville, Kentucky, and Pauline Phillips of Chillicothe, Ohio.
Six grandchildren; Amy Lee Rigsby Whidby and Joe, Haley J.
Rigsby all of Franklin, Tennessee, Sarah Mae Rigsby, Andrew
Glen Rigsby both of Isonville, Kentucky, Ashtyn Presley Posey of
Lyles, Tennessee and Adam Lee Plott of Hiawassee, Georgia.
