Family will receive friends at the Boyer Funeral Home from
11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 pm at Kerr Bros. –
Main St. Visitation will be held from 5-7:30 pm Monday. Burial will
be in Old Union Cemetery.
Brother Olan Sparks
Orlan Sparks, 70, Stanton, passed away
Sunday, October 21, 2018 at the University of
Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, Kentucky.
He was born April 9, 1948 in Slade, Ken-
tucky to the late Roy and Dorothy Bailey
Sparks.
Orlan was a Powell County native and a
member of the South Fork Primitive Baptist
Church of Morgan County.
He enjoyed training horses, hunting, and
fishing. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include, brothers, Benny (Betty) Sparks, Bobby
Sparks, Wayne Sparks, and Glen Sparks, all of Stanton; sisters,
Gale Holland and Bonnie Rawlinson, of Stanton; grandchildren,
Logan Sparks and Caleb Sparks, both of Salyersville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Brian
Sparks, and brother, Don Sparks. Private family services by Elder
Glenville Powell at the burial site.
