THE
MARKET
Downtown Long Beach is located at the southern edge of
greater Los Angeles, offering 5.5 miles of beachfront, year-
round sunshine, temperate climate, and central accessibility.
Voted one of America’s “Most Walkable Cities,” the waterfront
locale squeezes more than 100 restaurants, shops, hotels,
and entertainment venues within an 8-block radius. Though
sometimes overshadowed by high-profile communities in
other parts of the county, Long Beach is a major population
and employment hub in its own right. It is California’s 7th most
populous city and home to the twin ports of Los Angeles and
Long Beach, a key cog in the global supply chain.
The City adopted the Downtown Plan in 2012 with the vision
of a vibrant urban core, which has proven to be a key catalyst
in its ongoing revitalization. As a hub of tourism, business, and
transit, with a proactive planning process that promotes new
high-quality residential, commercial, and civic developments,
Downtown Long Beach has been attracting investment from
institutional groups in recent years, including the likes of Onni
and Ledcore.
