Scene. Madalyn's office. Late that afternoon.
BENNY
(Entering) Maddie, Kelly Rabin‘s gonna be the poster child for the anti-drug movement!
MADALYN
She‘s what?
BENNY
It‘s the come-back story of the decade! Fallen teen idol. Picks herself up, admits what she did,
apologizes…
MADALYN
Are you crazy?
BENNY
…asks for nothing but a chance to show the world she‘s changed.
MADALYN
Not happening.
BENNY
Wants to devote her career to keepin‘ other young actors from goin‘ down the same wrong path.
She‘ll be a hero! And Talcoff‘ll have his third reel.
MADALYN
His what?
BENNY
He says my story needs a third reel. I told him I‘m working with Kelly, she‘s on the mend, he
goes: (imitating Talcoff) ―We‘re always up for a good comeback story‖. (Half to himself)
What‘s a good place for a media event? Wait a minute—the Palace!
