MADALYN
And forget the whole anti-drug thing.
BENNY
What?! That‘s- that‘s- why else would Talcoff come?
MADALYN
He‘s not. I called in an old favor, he gave me five minutes. That‘s it.
BENNY
Yes, and during that five minutes he said if we do-
MADALYN
He would‘ve said anything to get you out of his office. He‘s not interested.
BENNY
These people.
MADALYN
This is what I‘m talking about. It‘s not ―these people‖.
BENNY
No? They did a documentary about George Raft, for God's sake. Remember? And Jolson. Jolson I
understand. But Raft? Even P.T. Barnum got a shot. The circus is more important than me.
MADALYN
(Moment) You done? You‘re gonna have two thousand people see you and your kids.
