Visit by the Swiss Foreign Minister to Singapore
NYAA ED joined Ms Sim Ann, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of National
Development, to welcome H.E. Alexandre Fasel, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, at the opening of
the newly renovated Embassy of Switzerland in Singapore.

The ED also had the opportunity to meet many newly appointed High Commissioners and Ambassadors at
the dinner event. The Swiss Foreign Minister expressed his gratitude for the longstanding partnership and
collaboration between NYAA and Switzerland, reinforcing the strong ties between the two nations.

Visit by M.L. Preeyapan Sridhavat of Thailand
The ED and Deputy ED of the NYAA Council welcomed Ms M.L. Preeyapan Sridhavat, a Member of the Thai
Royal Family and the Honorary Consul-General of the Republic of Peru in Thailand, for lunch. During the
meeting, the ED provided M.L. Preeyapan with a detailed briefing on the APEC Voices Summit 2024, scheduled
to coincide with the APEC Leaders’ Week in November 2024 in Lima, Peru. The meeting reinforced the strong
ties between NYAA and its regional collaborators.

Meeting with Representative of St. Gallen Symposium 2025
Ms Emily Hwang, the St. Gallen Symposium Representative for Singapore, visited the NYAA Council to update
and consult with the Executive Director on preparations for the St. Gallen Symposium Singapore Forum 2025.
Discussions focused on mobilising support from Singapore’s business community and reinforcing partnerships
to ensure the success of the upcoming Forum.
