This event takes place in April at the intersection of the clock tower in the city
of Maha Sarakham. There is a parade worshiping Buddha Statue named Kan-
tharawichai Apismai Dharmanayoka, the priceless Buddha statue of MahaSara-
kham province so that the people sprinkle holy water to the Buddha statue.
There is also a parade of Songkran Beauty Queen, the parade promoting the
tourism of the province. At the center of the fair, the competition of cooking
pounded unripe rice, a snack made of delicious green colored glutinous rice,
a stirring in a huge pot distributed to the participants in the fair. After that,
they will enjoy splashing water to each other and sprinkling water to the el-
derly hands to pay respect to them on this occasion. The music performance
is another hot high-light.
泼水节：泼水节是傣族的新年，相当于公历的四月中
旬，一般持续3至7天。在吗哈沙拉堪府，每年4月份
的泼水节期间举行。节日当天有泰国古典舞，敬拜长
辈仪式，泼水节小姐选拔比赛，泼水祝福活动，品尝
泰国美食，音乐会等活动。

Sự kiện này diễn ra vào tháng 4 tại giao lộ của tháp đồng hồ ở thành phố Maha
Sarakham. Có một cuộc diễu hành thờ tượng Phật tên là Kantharawichai
Apismai Dharmanayoka, tượng Phật vô giá của tỉnh Maha Sarakham để mọi
người rắc nước thánh lên tượng Phật. Ngoài ra còn có một cuộc diễu hành Nữ
hoàng Songkran, cuộc diễu hành quảng bá du lịch của tỉnh. Tại trung tâm của
lễ hội, diễn ra một cuộc thi nấu ăn, một bữa ăn nhẹ làm bằng gạo nếp màu
xanh lá cây được khuấy trong một nồi khổng lồ phân phối cho những người
tham gia lễ hội. Sau đó, họ sẽ thưởng thức nước bắn tung tóe nhau và rót nước
vào tay người cao tuổi để tôn trọng họ trong dịp này. Biểu diễn âm nhạc cũng
là một sự kiện đáng được chú ý trong lễ hội này.
