The Green Learning Gateway Campaign is an activity to develop environmental awareness among children through hands-on participatory paper collection activity, as part of the learning process and also enabling them to gain first-hand knowledge on how recycling benefits the Environment.
The programme is aimed at collecting the discarded news and wastepaper from home and neighbourhood and transported to a paper recycling agency. The money thus raised is used to help empower girl child with quality education.
The initiative was launched in 2015 and so far three girls have benefited from this programme. Continuing with it, Green Learning Gateway hopes to help more number of girls with monetary contribution towards their education.
The zeal for this innovative initiative is clearly evident by way of newspaper collection happening every Sunday across the school. Hope this continues and the act of kindness be the reason for someone’s smile.
