Just Another Wish
I wish to be the elephant
The largest animal on land, and benignant.
I wish to walk in the forest, big and majestic. But, I do not want to be shot for my tusk Nor do I want to be a victim of poaching.
So, I wish to be a polar bear
With fur so soft and beautiful to wear.
But, they are dying due to our inhuman act, For global warming leaves great impact.
So, I wish to be a sea turtle
For I can swim all day in the water.
Calm - with a shell of brown and lavender.
But, I do not wish to be killed for my tortoise shell To make ornaments and jewelry to sell.
So, I wish to be the courageous tiger
A fierce and fearless fighter.
Unique in looks, swift and skilled.
But, I do not want to be ruthlessly killed For my bones, claws, fur, teeth and skin.
So there goes my wish and earth’s greatest need For humans to get rid of their ever mounting greed

Role model? I have someone special...
Role model. When you hear these two words, what comes to your mind? Is it a superhero or like me, is it just a pious human? Well in my opinion role models are just superheroes in a human’s avatar. Just like everyone I too have an exhilarating role model whom I look up to. She, by profession, is a YouTube artist, comedian, actress and rapper. Introduced into the YouTube world in 2010, she became an internet sensation with currently over 14 million subscribers. Yep, you guessed it right. It is none other than the most loved Lilly Singh aka iiSuperwomanii!
Some people might say that she was born a star, but I believe that she has surmounted fame, love, and success due to her courage and bold choices. Lilly herself had suffered from a case of depression but fearlessly overcame it due to her indomitable spirit. That phase of her life was a blessing in disguise as it woke her up from her cocoon and she decided to conquer life. I admire her for the endurance she possesses. Filled with positive energy and lively emotions Lilly has topped the chart of my favorite people. I have unabatingly adored her confidence and intrepid nature. She
posts relatable content on her channel which can be relished by all groups of people around the world. A responsible and fun adult is what truly describes her as she has also gotten a chance to speak at the UN General Assembly.
Ever since Lilly has found this platform she has used it effectively to voice her opinion as a strong leader and prompted many others to do so in real life. She encountered many people who would bring her down, but she just hurled them down with her savageness. This is what I learn from her and what you all should also. Following her footsteps, I have also become a fervent supporter of feminism and of the #GirlLoveFoundation, that Lilly has recently started.
Lilly’s greatest gift is her ability to spread the love through her
Who is more powerful? Those who speak or those who listen?
An interesting question isn’t it? A kind which makes you realise that this one has no incorrect answer. But let’s dig a little into the past to try and find an answer. How did a significant change happen in a country? Through revolutions. Who initiated these revolutions? The political leaders. Those who spoke. Now it may seem that you have got your answer. But there is one question left. Who made these revolutions happen? The people. Those who listened.
A person who speaks cannot bring about any change directly. All they can do is speak out their opinions and beliefs. It is up to those who listen to determine whether they accept this opinion or not.The listeners are the people who spread the message you have imparted. They are the ones who can make you popular or unpopular, praise you or condemn you, act upon your opinion or act against it.
In a democracy, the government forms the rules and has the power to govern the nation. But the real power rests in the hands
of the common people who vote. They are the ones
with a choice. A political leader can only speak his
own opinion for the people to analyse. This proves
to be the same in our situation. The listeners have
the power even though they are silent. They carry your ideas forward and help your dreams become reality.
The French Revolution was initiated due to philosophers and intellectuals criticising the government for discriminating between the three classes of citizens. They proposed new forms of government and wrote books which were read out loud for the illiterate. But what truly marked the beginning of The French Revolution is the Storming of Bastille on 17th July 1789. The peasants, farmers and the people who truly suffered oppression were the ones who made this revolution a reality. Not the philosophers, not the intellectuals, not those who spoke, but those who listened.
