BEING AN ARTIST!
Part 1: You work immeasurably long, ridiculous hours.
Only realising time has passed when it’s 2 dark 2 C the
picture properly, losing sleep, skipping meals, forgetting 2
go 2 the loo! Ur whole body aches n throbs from sitting
n standing & contorting in2 the required position to
reach round the canvas for ages on end. You cry with
frustration when it’s all going wrong & cry from being so
deeply moved by the spiritual, emotional connection
you've made. You get sweaty n shaky n heart palpitations
when the image starts rushing forth perfectly as if your
just a vessel channelling the picture. You put all your love
& hope & soul into it - sharing deeply personal emotions,
concepts & feelings & transforming them into a visible,
tangible piece of work 2 go out in2 the World & be seen
by all & sundry. You forego food n drink n outings &
anything necessary to buy supplies. You keep going
through sheer grit & determination when you're shattered
& the art seems to be fighting you every step of the
way...and then...at last. It’s finished & you present it to the
world - revealing your Art & yourself to everyone...

Mmm Just reading through the latest health questionnaire
the hospital has sent me:
"Are you likely to nod off while someone is talking to
you?"
"Do you have a sense of impending doom?"
"Do family, friends or the general public find your
behaviour weird & inappropriate?" And I'm thinking.....
HAVE THEY BEEN SPYING ON ME?!
