I am STILL mourning the end of The 80's. I miss New
Romantics & Electro Pop and batwing jumpers with
pencil skirts and big, pretty hair and hedonism in a
Romantic Comedy Decade where the underdog always
won through in the end. I miss you The 80's
Growing up in the 80's and then landing in the 'Noughties'
is rather like booking a holiday from an enticing, glossy
brochure of paradise and then arriving in a 'holidays
from hell' half built, shit pit of a destination. I keep
finding myself looking around at my life and thinking 'It
looked nothing like this in the brochure. I want my
money back'
As long as I stay off the Gin I should be fairly safe. The
'mother's ruin' doesn't seem to be the way forward for
me. Unless forward leads over the edge of a cliff!

I live life on the edge - I go swimming less than 30
minutes after eating, I put hot drinks down without a
coaster and I'll even throw red underwear in with a load
of whites without a second thought

For those parents that had to wait longer to hear a first
word, who spent more time in doctors surgery with their
child than on play dates who endure countless bad days
and stares from other people...For those parents whose
child's first friend was their therapist...For those parents
who face special needs everyday...WE SALUTE YOU
