The reorganized company, which was established in the fall of 1990, was called
TEC Network, Inc. It was a communications group consisting of TEC Network,
Inc., and four separate corporations: Telephonic Equipment Corporation, ComServ
International, TEC Network and ComFinance. Sales were generated in England,
Poland, Japan, Romania and the USA.
TEC Network, Inc.’s executive management team was:
• Henry McNaulty, Chairman of the Board
• Gary Sprouse, President/CEO
• Joseph O’Connor, Vice President
• Michael Clark, Chief Financial Officer
Other key management included:
• Jon Giberson, President, ComServ International
• Mr. Pat Martin, VP Sales & Marketing, TEC Network, Inc.
Telephonic Equipment Corporation designed, engineered, and manufactured all the
call processing equipment. ComServ provided sales and marketing of call
processing equipment. ComFinance performed all financing alternatives for
ComServ and TEC Network products. TEC Network offered all the long-distance
telephone services.
The call and voice processing equipment market was $1.5B in 1989. This new
firm, TEC Network, Inc., offered basic phone services, basic telephone systems
and peripheral equipment, such as call sequencers, automatic call distributors,
automated operators, conference bridges, voice mail systems, facsimile machines
and call accounting systems. Any business with six or more incoming telephone
lines were prospects for some type of peripheral product. All the products were
marketed through a network of distributors, dealers, and the Bell system operating
companies, plus many independent telephone companies, telephone equipment
supply houses, private label distributors and various international brokers and
agents. I garnered sales immediately in Singapore, Chile, New Zealand, Australia
