When working with this wire, use great care to avoid injury; the ends of the
wire are sharp. Clean off the ends, and then bend the wire back on itself to the
size splice you want. Unlay three outside wires to a length twice the size of the
eye you wish to create; to create a 6-inch (150 mm) eye, for example, unlay 12
inches (300 mm) of the wire.
