ROPE-TO-WIRE SPLICE

A Rope-to-Wire Splice is often used to attach rigging wire to a halyard.
With double-braid rope, both the core and coat must be spliced into the
wire.

TOOLS & MATERIALS

Double-braid rope

7 × 19 stainless steel wire
Swedish fid
Wire cutters
Vinyl tape
Scissors or sharp knife
Hot knife or flame source
Ruler
