To taper this splice, repeat the tucks, omitting a portion of each yarn group at
each tuck, until only a few yarns remain. Cut the ends close to the wire and
carefully melt the yarn ends with a match.
JIG FOR THE ROPE-TO-WIRE SPLICE
A jig supplies me with an extra pair of hands that never gets tired when
I’m doing rope-to-wire splicing.
