                                     Susan joined the GSABA team in early 2016 and serves as the Membership Manager for the
                                     Association. In addition to her military service, she spent 19 years as a military spouse.
                                     “After my 2 years of active duty, I switched my role from a law enforcement officer, to military

                                     spouse.  Throughout those years, I continued my support of the USAF while instilling those
                                     core values in my own life, as well as the lives of my four children.  Our assignments took us
                                     to 3 countries and 3 states, and left us with a lifetime of experience with military service and
                                     a deep appreciation for those who serve our country.”

                                     “One of my favorite memories was being left behind in the Philippines with a skeleton crew
                                     during a typhoon in order to repair a helicopter so it would be able to fly back to a ship that
                                     was offshore. We proved that duct tape is the most important tool by using it to slap on

                                     panels and temporarily fix the main landing gear hydraulic component. It was close, but the
                                     aircraft made it back to the ship.”
