• In Aguillera et al v The State, the Court of Appeal found that the trial judge

acted well within the parameters of the discretion entrusted to him in concluding

that because of the strong prima facie quality of the prosecution evidence, the

pleas were tactical in nature and attracted a reduced discount of 25%.
