Time flies by like frost melt under the sun. Without realizing it,

10 years have quietly passed by. The time in the Department of
Buddhist Studies (DBS) has been very memorable and served as
an important landmark in my life. There were laughter and tears

for sure.

DBS was my first stop in really learning about Buddhism and

understanding the path of Buddhist cultivation, and I am forever
grateful for that. At the time, this program had only been estab-
lished for one year, thus there weren’t as many professors as there

were today. However, all the professors there gave their best in
teaching us in different aspect of Buddhism.

One of the most special thing about DBS is that we had a teach-
