ABOUT MERCY CARE

        Mercy = compassion + action

        The dictionary lists many synonyms for Mercy—forgiveness, kindness, compassion, sympathy, generosity, understanding

        and grace among them. Compassion is the emotion that makes Mercy Care tick. Compassion involves an active desire to

        alleviate suffering and to heal. That is what Mercy Care does best.

        Since 1985, Mercy Care has been a healing presence for those with and without health insurance, little or no income and

        those experiencing homelessness. A network of 11 primary care clinic sites, some fixed and some mobile, Mercy Care is a

        medical home to thousands who need primary medical, dental and vision care, behavioral health and social services.

        Mercy Care’s work proactively builds trust with Atlanta’s most vulnerable through outreach programs. These programs

        lead to more preventive care, housing, improved quality of life and reconnection to family and support networks. As a

        result, non-essential emergency room visits are reduced throughout Atlanta’s hospitals.

        We bring our hearts to work every day and take healthcare where it’s needed most.

                                                “We seek to relieve misery, to address its causes, and to support all persons who struggle for full dignity.”
