Kim’s photographs convey stories about “her.” They reveal herself
and capture every moment, reflecting herself in her photographs.
She displays herself in an everyday setting by presenting her ava-
tar in pictures. Her works feature spaces such as the house, the
sea, and the forest we have experienced in our everyday life. Kim’s
works feature a utopia in photographs or her sculptures and pho-
tographs with spangles put on them are set in space, thereby mak-
ing viewers feel that they actually exist in space. The space in her
photographs is sectioned with lines. She makes two-dimensional
space seem like three-dimensional space by making a distinction
with lines even though her photographs make three-dimensional
space feel like two-dimensional space. Kim arouses our sympathy
with “her” and someone’s quotidian aspects with small three-di-
mensional sculptures and spangled sculptures with showy colors.
She conveys feelings we have in our everyday life, moving beyond
                  her inner expression.
