The Universityhad entered into MOAs/MOUswith several nationalorganizations,NGOsas wellasGOs
for a numberof research and development initiatives. As in the past several years, national agenciessuch
as PCAARRD and DOST, have continued their research linkage with the University, contributing to the
vibrancy ofresearch culturein ISU.

As a result of the various Extension and outreach modalities and services, ISU livelihood and capability
trainings whichbenefittedsmall-scale farmers,LocalGovernmentOfficials, teachers,housewivesandthe
like,wereconductedmostlyinISU’sadoptedbarangays.Also,linkages,intheformoftechnicalassistance
orexpertservicesandfundingwereforgedbytheUniversitywithprivatecompanies,governmentagencies
andNGOs.

TheUniversity’s income generating enterprises yielded aNetIncome ofP8,285,650.86.

In adherence to the national government’s goal to upgrade leading SUCs to international standards as
stipulatedintheHigherEducationRoadmapforPublicEducationReform,newinternationallinkageswere
forgedin2020,addingtothegrowingnumberofpartnershipstheUniversityisestablishingforfuturejoint
research andeducationcollaborations withtheASEANCommunity.

4. BESTPRACTICES
 Cite asmany best practices as you can on Parameter B such as governance that facilities the
accomplishmentoftheVMGO.
The VMGO were considered in strategic planning workshops and also served as basis in the
planningandimplementingeducationalactivities, suchasdeliveryof instruction andsupportservices,co-
curricular services,preparation, updating/ enrichment ofsyllabi andresearch extension.

The VMGO form part of the syllabus in every subject offering in the different programs of the
universityandit is comprehensivelydiscussed duringthefirstday ofclasses.It also printedineverycopy
of the invitation which the university conducts. The Vision and Mission of the University are further
translatedintothemajordialectsinthe serviceareasofthe University.Researches were alsoconducted on
thelevelofawareness,acceptabilityandunderstandingoftheVMGO.TheVMGOsareposted in strategic
locations in the different colleges and within the service areas of the university and these are clearly
discussed during extension activities of the college in the different adopted schools and barangays of the
University.

The increasing pattern of student enrolment is due mostly to the University’s vigorous wide-
ranging career campaigneffortstopromoteits curricular offerings.

In response to the national government’s goal to strengthen quality assurance in the delivery of
instruction,ISUhascontinuouslyundertakenmeasuresinitsaimtoprovidequalityandrelevanteducation.
After it was awarded the ISO 9001:2015 Certification by TUVSUD, the ISU has to subject itself to
annual surveillance visits. In October 2021, ISU Echague successfully passed the rigors of the 5th
Surveillance Audit, therebymaintaining its ISOinternational certification.
