this thing goes on and on. And then it talks
about beer runs, longneck bottles, pop a top
and taking off this pain. And if I would mention
the names of some of these artists, you would
at least recognize some of them because you
probably know people who listen to some of
this.
And then another article that I picked up in
my study for this is written July 8th, 2011, and
it says, “The Boot on-line magazine voted on the
top twenty drinking songs. This gives a crystal-
clear look at the character of country music and
how drinking is glorified.” Now, listen to this.
Here's just a few of them. One is "Whiskey
River" by Willie Nelson, 1973, and here's some
of the lyrics: “Whiskey River take my mind;
Don't let her mem'ry torture me; Whiskey River
don't run dry; You're all I've got, take care of
