song a couple of years ago in a store here in
town, and I just stopped and listened to a few
words of that. But here's some of the lyrics:
“I've got friends in low places where the
whiskey drowns and the beer chases my blues
away and I'll be okay.” Here's another, 1984,
“All My Rowdy Friends” by Hank Williams, Jr:
“Do you want a drink? Hey, do you want to
party? We cooked the pig in the ground, got
some beer on ice, and all my rowdy friends are
coming over tonight.”
Here's another one by George Jones and
Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson, 1970, titled,
"I Gotta Get Drunk," and some of the lyrics are:
