Indonesia's G20 Presidency encourages collective efforts to improve the world's employment
condition for a collective recovery from double disruption of job shift as a result of digitalization
or automation accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Jakarta - The employment department of Indonesia's G20 Presidency is expected to be able to
encourage joint efforts to improve manpower conditions for a collective recovery, Manpower
Minister Ida Fauziyah stated.
During the virtual opening of the G20 Employment Working Group (EWG) here on Thursday, the
minister explained that the employment theme for Indonesia's G20 Presidency is improving
manpower conditions for a collective recovery.
"Indonesia's G20 Presidency encourages collective efforts to improve the world's employment
condition for a collective recovery from double disruption of job shift as a result of digitalization
or automation accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic," she elaborated.
Indonesia will focus on four priority issues, two of which are sustainable job creation in response
to the changes within an inclusive working world and job market, and job affirmation for people
with disabilities.
