Sauteed Spinach Leaf
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons oil
2 cloves garlic - finely chopped
½ onion - finely chopped
¼ teaspoon cumin seeds
250g spinach
salt and pepper to taste
Method:
1. Heat oil in a fry pan and sauté chopped garlic, cumin seeds and onion for a
few minutes until onion is soft and light brown.
2. Add spinach leaves and stir well. Cook until the spinach has just wilted,
only a few minutes.
3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
*Tip: any leafy green vegetable can be used here or even a combination – kale,
collards, pumpkin leaves. Roughly chop leaves and stir fry until wilted or
cooked.
