Aloo Paratha
Flatbread with Seasoned Potato Filling
Ingredients for dough: Method for dough:
500 gm of whole wheat flour 1. Place the whole wheat flour in a
1 ½ cups of water bowl. Pour water and knead it
1 teaspoon oil gently. (Dough should not be too
dry or wet)
2. Grease the oil over the dough and
cover it in plastic wrap. Leave it for
15 minutes.
3. Now the dough is ready.
Ingredients for stuffing: Method for stuffing/ filling:
3 medium sized Potatoes 1. Boil the potatoes and allow to cool.
1 finely chopped red onion Peel and mash them in a bowl until
2 spring onions there are no lumps.
3-4 strands of coriander 2. Add onions, coriander, salt, cumin
(stems and leaves) powder, ginger and garlic paste and
1 teaspoon salt chilli.
1 teaspoon cumin powder 3. Mix and mash it well.
1 teaspoon minced ginger 4. Now the stuffing is ready to make
1 teaspoon minced garlic the Aloo paratha
