Occasionally, the Company may require a space for visitors and when required employees on that
rotation will be advised.
Employees who want to be included in the rotating timetable for a parking spot should file their request
with the Scheme Manager. The Directors will allocate spaces in a fair and equitable manner to the
shared benefit of all employees. The Company’s decision is final with regard to the allocation of car
parking spaces.
3.18.5 Terms and Conditions for Parking
Employees shall only use parking spaces for the purpose of parking private motor cars and not for any
other purpose (including, but not limited to, the parking of trailers, commercial vehicles, motor cycles,
motor scooters, and cycles.)
Employees shall keep parking spaces free from all rubbish and litter by making proper arrangements for
the disposal and removal of the same, if any.
Employees shall not park motor cars in the circulation routes within the car park or in the parking space
in such a manner which obstructs or causes a nuisance to other persons entitled to use the car park
from time to time. In particular, employees shall not permit their parked motor cars to project into said
circulation routes.
The Company cannot be held liable and will not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to any
vehicle or its contents or for any loss or injury to any persons or property caused by employees or their
vehicles while in the in the car park or while entering or leaving the same.
Employees shall observe and comply with all applicable rules and regulations from time to time
pertaining to the proper and ordinary use of the parking space.
Employees shall not wash, clean or repair any vehicle while in the car park or while using the parking
space.
Employees shall use the parking space in such a manner as to not interfere with the free entry and exit
of other users and occupiers of the car park. Each car shall be parked within the confines of a single
parking space.
Employees shall at all times keep the parking space tidy and shall not store in their car any dangerous or
offensive article or anything unduly inflammable, save for petrol in the tank or tanks of their car.
Employees shall not keep animals of any kind in their cars while parked in the parking space, nor shall
any animals be left or exercised in the car park.
3.18.6 Managing Parking Spaces
Facilities in respect of parking spaces are not permanent. The use of a parking space can be withdrawn
at any-time at the sole discretion of the Directors. These facilities are only valid for as long as an
employee is employed by EQA.
This policy does not restrict off-site parking.
3.18.7 Disciplinary Consequences
Any employee who is found parking in ways that disregard this policy may receive a warning and/or a
written reprimand. Repeat offence may result in retraction of this parking permit. If the employee
continues to disrespect this policy, they may face further disciplinary action.
3.19 DRIVING LICENCE, INSURANCE & PENALTY POINTS SYSTEM
3.19.1 Driving License
If the Company requires an employee to drive a Company vehicle, under any circumstances, they must
hold an appropriate current valid driving licence. For insurance purposes all employees who drive a
Company vehicle will be requested to furnish a copy of their current driving licence on an annual basis.
The employees referred to above must notify the Company immediately if they should cease to hold
a valid driving licence whether by disqualifications or by revocation on medical grounds. Loss of driving
licence may result in employment being terminated. Any endorsement must be notified to the
Manager immediately.
