MEDIA RELEASE: THE BEER STORE STATEMENT ON 100 FORSYTH ST, MARMORA, TEMPORARY
STORE CLOSURE
The Marmora store at 100 Forsyth St., is temporarily closing for urgent maintenance repairs. The closure is effective
immediately. We appreciate that this temporary location closure will impact some customers.
The closest store locations to the closure would be in:
MADOC – located at 46 Wellington St., K0K 2K0
HAVELOCK - located at 28 Ottawa St., K0L 1Z0
There are multiple other Beer Store locations. The other closest stores can be found at www.thebeerstore.ca.
Everyone at the Beer Store is proud of our award-winning returns program and the fact that recently, we celebrated having
processed more than 5 billion containers for recycling and reuse, keeping mountains of material out of our province's landfill

The Ontario Trails Council and the Hastings Destination Trails Inc. have partnered to complete a survey on the economic
impact of trails and trail user activity in Hastings County. This survey is for members of the public that use trails in Hastings
County. They are assessing the impacts of trail use in order to assist policy makers, planners and the community to better
understand the value of trails.
The information you provide will help to assure they can advocate for future funding, land access, management support,
signage, insurance, construction, volunteer appreciation and community support. Please complete the survey by clicking on

New Businesses In Town
On December 10, Tammy May, Economic Development for Marmora and Lake and Angela Hudson, Community Liaison for
the Madoc & District Chamber of Commerce, attended the open house for The Baron on 7 restaurant, located at the
Marmora and Lake Inn B&B. Michele Piereder, Operations Manager of the Inn and her team worked very hard getting ready
for the open house (many visitors enjoyed the food and drink tastings, and a tour of the beautiful inn! Thank you for
choosing to invest in Marmora and Lake, we are very excited to have you join our spectacular community!
On December 7, Mayor Jan O'Neill, Hastings County Warden Mullin, Councillor Eric Daoust and Shari Pearce, President for
the Madoc & District Chamber of Commerce presented on behalf of the Chamber and on behalf of Ric Bresse, MPP, officially
welcomed Miner’s Restaurant to town! Thank you for choosing to invest in Marmora and Lake, we are very excited to have
you join our spectacular business community! Special thanks to Hastings County for organizing the ribbon cutting!
