     MARMORA #7 CLASSIC CRUISER
We had the pleasure of making a donation to Wendy Bateman
from "Marmora Public School" and Anna Young from the "Sacred
Heart School". Each school received $860.00 for the kids
breakfast club program. A special "thank you" goes out to all the
people who purchased 50/50 tickets each week and to Dan from
"Powell Powersports and Recreation" for the electric bicycle he
donated for us to raffle off. We hope to continue this tradition
     this coming year....

THE OLD HASTINGS MERCANTILE & GALLERY

The Old Hastings Mercantile & Gallery is happy to once again be one
of the sponsors for this year's North Hastings Music Festival. Gary &
Ernie were both given the chance to become professional musicians
through the school system, and have a real appreciation for all the
benefits that including music in a young persons life can add to a
complete education. Despite the photos here of the twins as very
young budding musicians, it was only in high school that they were
given an opportunity to discover the joys of instrumental music.
(Lillian, on the other hand, came from a family of enthusiastic
musicians, and could always naturally sing and harmonize.) Gary in
particular remembers the joys (and probably the apprehension) of
participating in Kiwanis Music Festivals. No matter the outcome, it
was a great chance to learn and grow. Best wishes to all the
participants, and congratulations and thanks to all the organizers. And
we'll look forward to the chance to hear soprano Hannah Crawford
once again, at the Festival of Stars.
